To create a backup, open phpMyAdmin, select the MIAS database, and click on the Export tab. Choose SQL format and press Go to download the complete database file. This file can be stored for safety and used later for restoration.

To restore data, open phpMyAdmin, create or select a database with the same name, and go to the Import tab. Choose your saved .sql backup file and click Go. This will re-create all tables and records as per the saved backup.
